Proof of Ownership

Ownership held by work, not by votes or block rewards.

Mint Net (a working name) is a payment network where each mint, a fixed block of units with its own history, carries the work that proves who owns it. A node keeps the heaviest valid ledger of every pool it follows, and payments settle as work builds up behind them. There is no block interval: an entry can be made whenever there are transactions to put in it.

The default series Get the node

One default: the Reserve series

Every new node follows the built-in default series (a placeholder for now): 32,768 mints of 10¹⁴ units in 1,024 pools, SHA-512/256, post-quantum keys and no issuer. Its rules are fixed inside its series id for good.

Weight decides

Transactions are bundled into entries, and work is added on top as layers. A node selects the ledger with the most total work, and a rival must out-weigh everything built since the point where it split off.

See the network

Published series, mint claims and the weight behind them, balances and recent transactions, as a node run by the project sees them.

Or run your own rules

The default is a node setting, not a law. Anyone can publish a series with other numbers, hashes or keys and run it on the same node.

What a node does

Status

Pre-release. The first planned release is v0.1.0-alpha.1. The node has been reviewed by the project itself but not yet by anyone outside it. Do not use it with anything of value.
