Download

Not available yet. The first release is planned as v0.1.0-alpha.1, an alpha.

Until then you can build the node from source, once the source repository is public.

What each release holds

PlatformNode (poo)App (poo-gui)
Linux amd64, arm64poo-VERSION-linux-ARCH.tar.gzpoo-gui-VERSION-linux-ARCH.tar.gz
macOS amd64, arm64poo-VERSION-darwin-ARCH.tar.gzpoo-gui-VERSION-darwin-ARCH.tar.gz
Windows amd64, arm64poo-VERSION-windows-ARCH.zippoo-gui-VERSION-windows-ARCH.zip
FreeBSD amd64poo-VERSION-freebsd-amd64.tar.gzpoo-gui-VERSION-freebsd-amd64.tar.gz

poo (short for Proof of Ownership) is the headless node and command line. poo-gui holds the same commands with a visual layer that opens in your browser; every click runs a poo command, so you can use either one. Binaries are static and print their version with poo version.

Check what you downloaded

Every release has a SHA256SUMS file. Comparing your archive against it tells you the download is complete and undamaged. It does not prove the archive is genuine: SHA256SUMS comes from the same release page, so anyone who could replace an archive could replace it too.

# Linux, FreeBSD
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing
# macOS
grep poo-VERSION-darwin-ARCH.tar.gz SHA256SUMS | shasum -a 256 -c
# Windows (PowerShell): compare the printed hash with the archive's line in SHA256SUMS
Get-FileHash poo-VERSION-windows-ARCH.zip -Algorithm SHA256

The check that does not trust the release page is a rebuild. Builds are reproducible: rebuilding a tag with the same toolchain gives the same bytes, so anyone can check a published archive without trusting whoever built it. The rebuild needs a Linux machine with GNU tar and zip; on another system the archives come out different even when nothing is wrong.

git checkout v0.1.0-alpha.1
./scripts/release.sh 0.1.0-alpha.1 # the tag without its "v"
diff dist/SHA256SUMS SHA256SUMS # the file from the release page

Build from source

You need Go 1.27 or later.

git clone https://github.com/JogginTheNoggin/crypto-mint-net
cd crypto-mint-net
go build -o poo ./cmd/poo
./poo init # follows the default series
./poo node

For the app: go -C gui build -o poo-gui ./cmd/poo-gui, then run ./gui/poo-gui.

More tools

Light wallets, ledger watchers, standalone grinders and other utilities will be listed here as they appear. The node already includes a wallet, a light mode that follows only a wallet's mints, a live event stream and grinders for CPUs. GPUs are detected, but there is no GPU grinder yet.
